GN Systems Inc. is presently hiring an energetic customer service-oriented Telecommunications (Copper/Fibre) Field Service Technician/contractor in Winnipeg, MB. Multiple positions are available. Opportunities to work under various product lines.

The selected candidate will install, diagnose, maintain fibre and copper networks (Internet, Phone, TV) and associated components, as well as be customer-focused, responsible, results orientated, and provide a positive customer experience every time. This position requires you to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays depending on business requirements.
What you'll be doing:
- Install, repair, and maintain Fiber and Copper Network
- Troubleshooting Copper and Fiber Networks
- Installing data and voice cabling (Cat5e & Cat 6)
- Installing copper and fibre aerial drops from pole and attaching them to the house
- Ability to distinguish colours
- Ability to climb ladders at least 28' high
- Own reliable vehicle (contractor only)
- Proof of contractor insurance (contractor only)
- Proof of WCB clearance (contractor only)
- Must supply your own tools, ladders, white VAN, or Pickup truck (contractors only).
- Crimp and terminate Cat5e RJ45 connector
- Strong command of the English language – both spoken & written
- Neat appearance and good customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and offer assistance if required to other technicians
- Ability to accommodate a variety of assignments at various locations
- Maintain a valid Manitoba driver’s license
- Physically fit, including the ability to lift heavy objects, tools and climb a ladder

Desired Skills:
- The above-mentioned position(s) can be physically challenging as you will be climbing and working from ladders, in some cases in excess of 30 feet
